A self portrait, My Florescent Mind shows Ariana’s journey of self discovery and her re-introduction to art after a few years of being stuck in a life she wasn’t happy in. Having given up her dreams for a “safe” job in the business world and a “safe” relationship she wasn’t happy in, a *special experience* gave her the realization that life is too short to settle. After this experience, Ariana made a promise to herself to never stop following her dreams and pushing towards the life she truly wants. Since then, she has made art her main focus, and her life has started to bloom. The title of this piece is a play on the word “Florescent”, which means both to glow like an x-ray and to bloom like a flower.
